THE BIG GAME

Young People from Fuse1318 youth theatre have been working with New York based artist Tom Russotti, to look at the aesthetics of sport and the theatricality of games.

At the Institute, young producers have invented seven exciting, new games, from races to ball sports and will host several youth and community groups from around Lancashire to play for exciting awards and prizes. The young producers will announce, referee, document and play in these games.

As well, they will christen their new Goth inspired team identity, the Nelson Institute Bunny Huggers, replete with newly designed logo and uniforms. Using their theatre training they have created several sports characters which they will perform throughout the event.

To top it off, they have choreographed an introductory performance and a half time samba band routine. In short, this will be the sporting event of the season!

Teams of all ages can enter but must be registered in advance, - see attached form
