Elections & AGM

March 2011

Election of BCN Management Committee Representatives

& BCN Representatives on Burnley Action Partnership (LSP) 2009/2010

BCN operates a very democractic elections system allowing all its members (free membership) to take part in both the nominating and voting process to ensure renewal of a minimum third of both the Management Committee and of the BCN Representatives on the LSP (known in Burnley as BAP) on annual basis.

Also the Chair and two Vice Chairs of the Network (cf Who’s Who 2010-2011) are elected by their piers from the Management Committee for a three years mandate. The Chair of the Network seats automatically on the LSP executive. A Chair of Vice Chair of the LSP (also a three year mandate) will rotate amongst the Private,Public sector and BCN accordance with the Network’s Election process, a clearly defined set of rules will lead to a third of the Management Committee and Representatives on BAP to retire per sector; thus leaving a vacant seat for the elections 2010/2011. (for rules details: please contact Adha Bond - tel. 01282 704646)

The 1st Management Committee meeting 2010/2011 & BCN 8th Annual General meeting took place June 29
