Burnley Community Network— What do we do?
The government wants a Community Network made up of community and voluntary groups
and individuals to be set up alongside BAP. This is so that residents in Burnley can become involved with BAP via the Community Network.Disadvantaged groups, such as disabled people, black and minority ethnic people, older people & young people, can participate in decisions that affect their lives.
Individuals and groups in areas where there are high levels of poverty can make decision about their environment.
Community and voluntary groups can come together and discuss issues of common concern
Burnley Community Network enables over 300 organisation members from the Third sector to come together. Find out how to get involved in deciding what happens in Burnley by joining the Network. The Burnley Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) is made up of people from
local business, key public sector agencies such as Burnley Borough Council, the Police and Lancashire County
Council. Burnley Community Network is the representative of the Third sector on Burnley Action Partnership (BAP).
